I’m a Theoretical Physics and Pure Mathematics graduate from Maynooth University. I know the Junior and Leaving Cert curriculum inside and out, and I also teach 3rd level Maths and Physics modules. I’ve been tutoring since 2021, working one to one with Junior Cycle and Leaving Cert Higher and Ordinary Level students in Maths and Physics, as well as undergraduate students at Maynooth University. Rather than getting students to memorise steps, I try to get them comfortable with the underlying logic first, so problems start to make sense on their own terms instead of feeling like a list of rules to remember. That tends to carry over into stronger exam performance and more confidence tackling unfamiliar questions. I keep lessons relaxed and engaging while still maintaining strong structure and standards, with notes and resources provided to support learning between sessions.
