1. Find a Tutor
Browse our tutor directory or contact us with your subject, level and requirements, and we can suggest suitable independent tutors.
2. Confirm Your Request
A MyGrinds representative will contact you within 24 hours to confirm the details and explain our platform terms, including the €40 platoform fee, before you agree to an introduction. The fee is only payable if you stay with your tutor for 8 weeks and are happy to continue thereafter.
3. Speak With Your Tutor
Once introduced, your tutor will contact you directly to discuss your needs, availability and tuition rate.
4. Arrange Your Lessons
You and your tutor will arrange lesson times directly. Your tutor will provide a link through Zoom, Google Meet, Teams or another suitable service.
5. Pay Your Tutor Directly
Tuition payments are made directly to your tutor at the agreed rate. Your tutor handles scheduling, teaching materials and tuition payments independently.
6. One-Off Platform Fee
There is no upfront platform fee. If tuition is still ongoing eight weeks after your first paid lesson, a one-off €40 platform fee is payable to MyGrinds Ireland, separately from your tuition payments.
If tuition never starts or ends before that point, no platform fee applies.
7. Keep in Touch
We’ll check in occasionally to see how things are going. You can also contact us if you need help finding an alternative tutor or have any general LC or JC queries.
