I am a fully qualified post-primary teacher with extensive experience teaching students from 1st right through to 6th year. I hold a First-Class Honours B.Sc. in Education (Design, Graphics & Construction) from Atlantic Technological University (ATU), where I was awarded a Certificate of Academic Excellence. I am also a two-time national finalist in the Worldskills Ireland Carpentry competition – which provides me with fantastic trade experience and deep knowledge of complicated geometry as well as carpentry skills.
I teach both Higher and Ordinary Level across all my subjects. I am fully up to date on all recent curriculum changes, assessment criteria, and exam formats. In my teaching career, I lead excellent classroom teaching which has been commended by students and inspectorates alike.
I really enjoy working with students to boost their results and confidence across all aspects of the curriculum—whether preparing for written exams, practical projects, or Junior Cycle CBAs. Having tutored students with a wide variety of learning needs, I excel at making complex topics clear and easy to understand using relatable analogies and structured techniques.
Over the years, I have helped ambitious students secure top H1 grades, as well as helping struggling students comfortably cross the pass mark—whatever their individual goals require. I keep sessions supportive, engaging and well-structured. Homework and portfolio marking, project guidance and ongoing support between classes are all included.
