I’m a double honors graduate — First Class Honours in English and a 96% GPA in Mathematics — from University College Dublin, currently completing an MSc in Actuarial Science at Queen’s University Belfast. I’ve been tutoring for over five years (800+ hours) and have worked with 80+ students across Junior Cycle and Leaving Certificate Higher and Ordinary Level Maths, Spanish, Irish, and French, as well as within the British system (GCSE, A-Level). In this time, I’ve maintained a 100% record of target grade improvement. My approach focuses on building genuine understanding rather than rote memorization. I set a real challenge early in each lesson and build students up to conquering it themselves, so they see exactly how and why they’ve improved, rather than being told they have. Over the years, I’ve helped many students improve significantly, including taking a failing leaving cert Maths student to a H1 within three months, and helping students move from weak foundations to genuine fluency in Spanish and French within months rather than years. Alongside private tutoring, I’ve also taught piano and drums professionally at a music school, and led outdoor education sessions for large groups — experience that’s sharpened my ability to adapt to very different learners. I keep lessons relaxed and engaging while still maintaining strong structure and standards, with clear explanations and analogies that make difficult concepts click.
