Hi I’m Harry, as a professional tutor, I have a great passion for education, and a perseverance for assisting my students with their individual learning experiences, often tailoring the tutorials to the specific requirements of each student.
I know the Irish curriculum like the back of my hand, offering Chemistry, Biology and Agricultural Science tuition for Leaving Cert and University tuition for any Chemistry related modules over the past 11 years. I am also Garda Vetted.
My pedagogical approach to tutoring is to identify and target specific gaps in a student’s knowledge, removing confusion around a subject and steadily building confidence by solving increasingly complex problems. This approach quickly evolves into studying and answering past exam paper questions, with students eventually being confident enough to tackle these questions individually.
Using this approach, many of my past students have rapidly improved their grades, and I often hear of students achieving H1 and H2 grades on results day (especially one specific student this year who went from a H6 originally to a H1).
