I am a double honours graduate in English and Business with a first class achieved in my Masters in Education.
I have been teaching since 2015 and have worked with hundreds of secondary school students across Junior Cycle and Leaving Certificate in both Higher and Ordinary Levels. I have taught English, Business, LCVP (including Portfolio Items), Business Studies, LCA English and Communications as well as LCA Practical Achievement.
I have experience in correcting exams at both levels in English, LCVP and Business – and have also worked with the SEC as a Leaving Certificate LCA examiner in both subjects mentioned above.
My approach focuses on building genuine understanding and creating links that help the students to engage and relate to the subject matter. This helps students to build confidence and logical thinking which helps with the breaking down and understanding of the questions being asked. I have previously helped students who were failing to increase their grades by up to 70%.
I keep lessons relaxed and engaging while maintaining strong standards and structure. Homework corrections, personalised notes, exam corrections, resources and exam guidance all included.
