Hi! I’m Ella, A graduate from University of Ireland with a BA in English and History. These subjects were always my specialty in school. I’ve always loved English, and I really enjoy helping students become more confident in a subject that can sometimes feel a bit overwhelming. Whether you’re struggling with essays, poetry, Shakespeare, comparative study or just don’t know where to start, I’m aim to make things feel a lot more manageable!
I believe the best way to learn is to actually understand what you’re studying rather than simply rote learning. I tailor each lesson to the individual student, focusing on your strengths, the areas you find difficult and the way you learn best. I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions and developing their own ideas.
I also offer History grinds, with a focus on essay writing, exam technique, source work and making those big topics a little easier to get your head around!
My aim is to keep lessons relaxed, friendly and useful, while helping students build the confidence to tackle their exams themselves.
