I’m an undergraduate student of English at Queen’s University Belfast. I completed the Leaving Certificate examinations two years ago therefore I am well acquainted with the structure of it.
Having completed a module on Shakespeare and his contemporaries, I have developed a keen interest in plays from this era.
As well as this, I have studied the poems of Emily Dickinson, Seamus Heaney, Paula Meehan, W.B. Yeats etc. in depth.
My tutoring strategies include encouraging students to analyze their studied texts and become familiar with the themes and contexts explored within them. The lessons would be tailored to the student’s needs and a lesson plan would be sent to the student in advance.
My main goal as a tutor is to help students enjoy studying their texts and to feel confident in essay writing for the Leaving Certificate.
